It is a flower-shaped design, which is very often found on the street floor of the Eixample district.
Its name “panot” simply means 'slab' or 'pavement' in Catalan, and it is also called by its Spanish translation “baldosa”.
For the record, this design is said to be inspired by the slabs that pave the entrance to Casa Amatller, a magnificent modernist and neo-Gothic style residence. You can actually see the slabs for yourself at number 41 Passeig de Gràcia in Barcelona.
